Summary

Moisture accumulation reduces insulation breakdown voltage, increases dielectric loss, accelerates degradation of polymer-based insulation materials, and diminishes system performance. In severe cases, this can trigger insulation breakdown and partial discharge, ultimately compromising the safety of power systems.
